We are pleased to announce that we have launched our Queen Silvia Nursing Award Network! The purpose of the network is that our alumni will establish new contacts, get valuable ideas and develop together in their professions. We kicked off the network with a two-day event at Ulfsunda Castle in Stockholm. In addition to some of our Swedish finalists and scholars, we had visits from former finalists and scholars from Poland, Finland and Germany. We had a total of 19 alumni member at our first event!
Day one started with an alumni ceremony where project director Fanny Enström handed out a unique QSNA brooch to all alumni. The Swedish Care International Board was in place to pay attention to our alumni. Later in the day, Susanne Svahn from Aleris was here to inform us about entrepreneurship and leadership in care, a very rewarding and exciting presentation. We also had some ideas discussions during the day and ended the day with a networking activity and a nice dinner together.
Day two began with further ideas discussions, and then it was time for Ulrich Zerhusen and Anna-Carina Thygs from Care & Creation in Germany to report on marketing in health care. Their presentation led to many exciting discussions where large our alumni got to go deeper into how the marketing of care differs in our different countries. Day two ended with a nice lunch together before it was time to go home.
