Queen Silvia Nursing Award is an annual scholarship awarded to nursing students who have contributed promising ideas that will improve elderly care. The scholarship was established in Sweden in 2013 as a gift to Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. Since then, Queen Silvia Nursing Award has expanded into 4 countries.

This scholarship aims to promote an exchange of ideas and dialogue concerning future development possibilities in elderly and dementia care, in addition to attracting and developing leadership and professional competence within the field of healthcare. It also wishes to draw attention to the role that nurses have in society and increase the attractiveness of a nursing education with a focus on elderly care

Each scholar will receive a 6000 € cash prize and the opportunity to participate in an individually curated internship.
